The Hadron & The Higgs is a 3D video Projection installation made during my Masters degree in Graphic Moving Image at London College of Communication.
In this installation, I set out to explain the concept behind the Hadron Collider experiment and the Higgs Boson at CERN.
My work investigates how effective video mapping can be to support theories of immersion as a tool that facilitates better understanding of abstract concepts.
Interactivity and immersion play a large role in ideas of modern museum spectatorship and science communication and learning and so by exploring concepts of ‘breaking the frame’ and bridging the gap between image space and real space, I wanted to bring the Hadron Collider to a young, new audience.
